Emergency Backup System (EBS)

Roughneck's Emergency Backup System (EBS) is a program that protects your entire Roughneck Data Directory on an offsite server located at Roughneck Systems, via the Internet.

EBS is the safest way to avoid losing vital Derek data in the event of flooding, fire or any other major catastrophe at your location.  Even if you backup and store your data every day onto a cd or thumb drive or any other device, EBS provides much more security for your data, as it is located here at our office.

Should your home or office be burglarized and your computer and backup drives taken, having a backup on our server will prevent the loss of any of your valuable data.  You can simply restore your data to your new computer.

If you ever need help troubleshooting an issue, with your permission, we can access your data easily and look for any problems.

You are allowed up to 12 backups per year and may restore any backup still on our server at any time.

To Register for Emergency Backup:

Go to Tools - Backup/Restore - Register for RSI Emergency Backup

You only need to register for EBS one time.  You will be asked for your Email Address, Your Desired Username and Password.  Please make note of the username and password you choose because you will have to login each time you use EBS with this information. When you first Register for EBS, you will receive an email confirmation within 24 hours stating that your Emergency Backup System is now ready to use along with simple instructions on how to use the system.
